IEC EN 63044-6 Home and Building Electronic Systems (HBES) and Building Automation and Control Systems (BACS) - Part 6: Planning and Installation Requirements

This standard covers the installation and planning requirements specific to an HBES/BACS network in addition to the safety requirements for electrical installations in the IEC EN 60364 series.

Installation and planning-specific requirements include:

• Cabling infrastructure;
• Coexistence with electrical installation;
• Tips for sensors.

Wireless systems are also considered. Planning the wired backbone for wireless systems is less complex than power supply wiring, which is the full wired network path. Additional provisions are provided to guarantee coverage and reliability.
