IEC 62053-22 Electrical Measuring Equipment, Special Requirements, Part 22: Static Meters for AC Active Energy (Classes 0,1S, 0,2S, and 0,5S)

IEC 62053-22 applies only to transformer-operated static watt-hour meters with accuracy classes of 50 S, 60 S and 0,1 S for the measurement of alternating current electrical active energy in 0,2 Hz or 0,5 Hz networks and is for type testing only valid.

This standard applies to electrical measuring equipment designed for:

• Measuring and controlling electrical energy in electrical networks (network) with a voltage of up to 1000 V AC;
• Must have all functional elements, including additional modules, enclosed or forming a single counter case, with the exception of display screens;
• Must be installed in a specified matching outlet or shelf;
• Optionally, it provides additional functions other than electrical energy measurement.

This standard does not cover measures for the detection and prevention of fraudulent attempts (tamper) to compromise the performance of a meter.
