EN 16644 Pumps - Rotodynamic Pumps - Wet Rotor Circulation Pumps for Heating Installations and Domestic Hot Water Installations

The test code includes the test hardware, measurement method, and test conditions. This European Standard applies to wet rotor circulation pumps manufactured after the date of publication of this European Standard.

The characterization principle is based on measuring the structure-induced and fluid-induced power transmitted through vibration and pressure fluctuations, respectively, in the pipe connected to a wet rotor circulation pump.

It was prepared in response to the need to have uniform procedures as requirements regarding noise levels, especially in residential buildings. has been tightened by national and European regulations. The issue of airborne noise is covered by other standards.
