Developed to support IEC 61340-5-1, IEC TR 61340-5-2 applies to manufacturing, processing, assembly, installation, packaging, labeling, servicing, testing, inspection, transportation, or otherwise handling activities.
Applies to electrical or electronic parts, assemblies and equipment with withstand voltages equal to or greater than 100 V for 200 V HBM, 35 V CDM and insulated conductors.
For ESDS with lower withstand voltages, additional control elements or set limits may be applied.
This second edition of IEC TR 61340-5-2 has been amended to provide guidance for users of IEC 61340-5-1. The text is organized to follow the requirements of IEC 61340‑5‑1 as closely as possible, and also to provide specific guidance on each of the requirements of IEC 61340-5-1.
