EN 55022 Information Technology Equipment - Radio Distortion Properties - Limits and Measurement Methods Test

EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of EN 55022 testing. CISPR 22 applies to information technology equipment (ITE). Procedures are given for measuring the levels of spurious signals produced by ITE and limits are specified for the frequency range 9 kHz to 400 GHz for both class A and class B equipment.

EN 55022 Information Technology Equipment - Radio Distortion Properties - Limits and Measurement Methods Test

It is not necessary to measure at frequencies where limits are not specified. The purpose of this publication is to establish uniform requirements for the radio disturbance level of the covered equipment, determine the limits of the disturbance, explain the measurement methods, and standardize the operating conditions and interpretation of the results.

Coverage has been extended to cover the entire radio frequency range from 9 kHz to 400 GHz, but limits are only formulated in restricted frequency bands considered sufficient to achieve sufficient emission levels to protect radio broadcast and telecommunications services.

If the reading of the measuring receiver fluctuates near the limit, the reading should be observed for at least 15 s at each measuring frequency; The higher reading will be recorded, except for any short isolated high reading that will be ignored.

A CISPR limit is a recommended limit for national authorities to include in national publications, relevant regulations and official specifications. International organizations are also recommended to use these limits.

Where not specified here, the EUT must be configured, installed, configured, and operated in a manner consistent with typical applications. Where the manufacturer specifies or recommends an installation practice, it should be used in the test arrangement wherever possible.

Interconnect cables must be of the type and length specified in the individual equipment requirements. If the length can be varied, the length should be chosen to produce maximum distortion.

Extra length cables will be bundled in bundles of 30 cm to 40 cm lengths at the approximate center of the cable. If this is impractical due to cable mass or stiffness, or because the test is performed in a user installation, the layout of the excess cable should be fully specified in the test report.
