This standard covers pin and socket connectors with screw type coupling mechanism with an inner diameter of 3 mm (0,12 inch) of the outer conductor. Cable mounting connectors will operate within specification with suitable cables up to a frequency of at least 6 GHz and may be used at higher frequencies if a higher reflection coefficient than specified can be tolerated.
