Three pipe production lengths are required, samples are taken one of each length for various tests. If there is doubt about the regularity of the thickness of the channels, three samples from different exit lengths are cut along a plane perpendicular to their axes. The thickness of each of the sections is measured at four locations as evenly distributed as possible along the circumference, and one of the measurements is taken at the thinnest point.
