This whitepaper does not contain additional requirements, but provides support for modeling electrical equipment in a positive sequence, negative sequence and zero sequence system and for the practical execution of calculations in a low voltage system, an asynchronous medium voltage system. It provides a power station unit with motors and an auxiliary network that feeds multiple medium voltage asynchronous motors and low voltage motor assemblies.

On the one hand, a subclause has been added to the example in item 60909 to make a comparison between the results found by applying the voltage source equivalent to the short-circuit location following the procedure given in IEC EN 0-3 and the results found. The superposition method, on the other hand, takes into account different load-flow conditions before the short circuit.

In addition to clause 60909 of IEC EN 0-3, modeling and calculation of positive sequence and zero sequence impedances of electrical equipment are given. In most cases, the negative-sequence impedances are equal to the positive-sequence impedances when calculating the initial short-circuit currents.
