IEC EN 62052-11 Standard Test for Electrical Measuring Equipment

This standard applies to electrical measuring equipment designed for:

• Measuring and controlling electrical energy in electrical networks (network) with a voltage of up to 1000 V AC or 1 500 V DC;
• Enclosed in all functional elements except display screens or forming a single meter box, including additional modules;
• Works with integrated displays (electromechanical or static meters);
• Works with standalone display screens, or without display screens (static meters only);
• Can be installed in specified matching sockets or racks;
• Optionally, it provides additional functions beyond the measurement of electrical energy.

Meters designed to operate with Low Power Instrument Transformers (LPITs defined in the IEC EN 61869 series) may be tested for compliance with this standard and the relevant IEC EN 62053 series standards only if such meters and their LPITs are tested together as direct connected meters. .

This standard also applies to auxiliary input and output circuits, operating indicators and test outputs of equipment for electrical energy measurement. This standard also covers common aspects of accuracy testing such as reference conditions, repeatability and uncertainty measurement.
