The oscilloscope will be triggered from a local time signal synchronized with the optical or electrical eye patterns or a synchronization signal derived from the optical waveform itself.

Test and measurement procedures should be performed under the following ambient conditions unless otherwise stated. In some cases, special ambient conditions may be required. Such conditions may be specified in the performance standard.
