This standard specifies performance requirements for electronic control equipment for use on DC or AC supplies up to 1 V (alternating current at 000 Hz or 50 Hz) and at an output frequency that may deviate from the supply frequency associated with LED modules according to IEC.
The control hardware for the LED modules specified in this standard is designed to provide a constant voltage or current. Deviations from pure voltage and current types do not exclude the gear from this document. The tests in this document are type tests. The requirements for testing the individual control assembly during manufacture are not included. Requirements for the control assembly including means for changing the output power are being evaluated.
Control gear conforming to this standard can be expected to provide satisfactory operation between 92% and 106% of the rated supply voltage, taking into account the specifications of the LED module manufacturer.
