The ISO 26262 standard series is an adaptation of the IEC EN 61508 standard series to meet the industry-specific needs of electrical or electronic (E/E) systems in road vehicles.
This adaptation applies to all activities throughout the safety lifecycle of safety-related systems consisting of electrical, electronic and software components.
