Fluorescent self-ballast lamps and ballast adapters are evaluated using the Standard for Self Ballasted Lamps and Lamp Adapters, UL 1993. The ballast component is evaluated against the requirements of this Standard.
A product containing new or different features, qualities, components, materials or systems from those covered by the requirements of this standard and which presents a risk of fire or electric shock or injury to persons should be evaluated using the appropriate additional component.
