UL EN 60730-1 Safety Automatic Electrical Controls - Part 1: General Requirements

This standard also applies to individual controls used as part of a control system or multi-function controls with non-electrical outputs and controls that are mechanically integrated.

This standard applies to mechanical or electrically actuated automatic electrical controls that are sensitive to or control properties such as temperature, pressure, the passage of time, humidity, light, electrostatic effects, flow or liquid level, current, voltage, acceleration or combinations thereof.

This standard applies to starting relays, a special type of automatic electrical control intended to switch the starting winding of a motor. These controls can be located inside the engine or separate from the engine.

This standard does not address the integrity of the output signal to network devices, such as interoperability with other devices, unless considered as part of the control system.
