EN 61547 Equipment for General Lighting Purposes - Standard Test for EMC Immunity Requirements

Equipment for which immunity requirements are formulated in other IEC or CISPR standards is outside the scope of this standard. The main reason for this revision is to update the dates of references to core standards, which also requires some editorial changes to the tables.

However, in multifunctional equipment where the lighting part works independently from other parts, the lighting part will comply with the requirements of this standard.

Lighting equipment conforming to the requirements of this standard can be expected to operate satisfactorily in other environments. In some special cases, measures must be taken to provide greater immunity. Dealing with all these possibilities is impractical. Such requirements may be determined by contractual agreement between the supplier and the buyer.

Considering the electrical characteristics and use of a particular equipment, some tests may be determined to be unsuitable and therefore unnecessary. In such cases, the decision not to test should be recorded in the test report.
