EN 301 908-12 IMT Cellular Networks - Standard Test for CDMA Multi-Carrier Repeaters

EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, offers precise and rapid testing services within the scope of EN 301 908-12 testing. This standard is based on Article 2014 of Directive 53/3.2/EU. It serves as a Harmonized Standard aiming to meet the essential requirements set out in the article.

EN 301 908-12 IMT Cellular Networks - Standard Test for CDMA Multi-Carrier Repeaters

This standard contains requirements to demonstrate that Radio equipment both effectively uses and supports the efficient use of the radio spectrum to prevent harmful interference.

The technical requirements of the current standard are valid within the scope of the environmental profile for the operation of the equipment to be declared by the supplier. The equipment shall always comply with all technical requirements of the current document while operating within the limit limits of the declared operational environmental profile.

Input intermodulation spurious response attenuation is a measure of a Repeater's ability to rebroadcast an in-band signal in the presence of two interfering out-of-band CW signals at the Repeater's input. For Repeaters specified by the manufacturer as not suitable for use as Airborne Repeaters, this test is valid for reverse connection only.

The purpose of using a repeater in a system is to amplify in-band signals, not to amplify the out-of-band emissions of the transmitting Base Station. The manufacturer must provide information specifying the minimum donor coupling loss as a function of the Repeater gain setting and the Repeater passband. The measured out-of-band gain in the forward link signal path will be below the minimum donor link loss for the configured gain setting (for Repeaters with multiple passbands, each passband is evaluated).

Output intermodulation is a measure of the Repeater's ability to prevent the creation of intermodulation product signals created by the presence of an interfering signal reaching the Repeater through an output port. The frequency of the interfering signal must be ± one, two and three carrier channel spacing frequency offset from the desired channel.
