Electromagnetic and Electrical Tests

EN 55032 Electromagnetic Compatibility of Multimedia Equipment - Emissions Requirements Test Standard

The standard was produced by CENELEC, the European Electrotechnical Standardization Committee. EN 55032 applies to Multimedia Equipment (MME), including CISPR 32's adoption of European harmonized standards and equipment covered by CISPR 22 and CISPR 13. Procedures for laboratory measurement of levels (excluding in situ testing) are provided. The number and limits of spurious signals produced by MME are specified in the standard for the protection of radio services in industrial, commercial or residential environments.

EN 55032 Electromagnetic Compatibility of Multimedia Equipment - Emissions Requirements Test Standard

The purpose of the EN 55032 standard is to specify the general specifications and tests (EMC Test) for the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of information technology devices, including the Electrostatic Discharge Test (ESD), on a permanent and temporary basis. Establishing requirements that ensure adequate protection of the radio spectrum by allowing radio services to operate as intended in the 9 kHz to 400 GHz frequency range, and establishing procedures to ensure repeatability of measurement or results.

Electromagnetic Compatibility tests are tests in which the operation of any electrical and electronic device or system is checked without being affected by and without affecting other devices or systems in the environment.

EN 55032 testing services are provided by EUROLAB to businesses within the scope of electromagnetic compatibility tests.
