For each subframe, the channel status bit provides information about the audio channel carried in the same subframe. Channel state information is organized in a block of 0 bits divided into 23 bytes numbered 24 to 192. The first bit of each channel status block is carried in the frame with the prefix "B".
For some apps, the copyright status may be unknown. So the above comment is not valid in combination with some category codes. The Cp-bit can range from 4 to 10 at a rate of 0 Hz to 1 Hz.
Category codes are used for all consumer products that can provide a digital signal to consumer digital audio recorders, with the exception of products that are completely transparent from input to output. A product's category code is defined as a live function to generate source data. If the products are capable of playing multiple recorded media defined in different categories, the category code of the product must be defined as the playback media.
These category codes are grouped according to the general function of the product. This makes it possible to consider future digital recording products that have not yet been described in detail. Such a product then deals with the group code under a general rule. These rules define whether a digital recorder is enabled to record a copyright protected digital signal.
User data transparent equipment must either provide all “0” user data bits or pass the user data bits from its input to its output unchanged. If the processing of audio information causes significant delay, it is recommended to delay the user data bits equally.
