EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN ISO 14982 standard. This international standard specifies test methods and acceptance criteria for evaluating the electromagnetic compatibility of tractors and all types of mobile (including handheld) agricultural machinery, forestry machinery, landscape and garden machinery.
It is valid for machines and electrical-electronic subassemblies manufactured after the publication date of this standard. Electrical-electronic components or subassemblies intended to be installed in machines are also covered by this standard, with the exception of the exemption for parts whose functions are not directly related to the control and modification of the state of the machine's functions.
This international standard does not apply to machines fed directly with low-voltage current from the public mains.
In recent years more and more electronic devices designed to control, supervise and display a multitude of functions have been used in agricultural machinery and tractors. The electrical and electromagnetic environment in which these devices operate must be taken into account.
During the normal operation of many parts of machine devices, electrical and high-frequency disturbances occur. They are produced in a wide frequency range with different electrical properties and can be transferred to other electronic devices and systems of the machine by conduction or radiation.
Narrowband signals produced by interference sources inside or outside of agricultural machinery and tractors can also be connected in electrical and electronic systems where they can affect the normal function of electrical equipment. Narrowband sources of electromagnetic disturbance are, for example, machines with integrated microprocessors.
