ETSI EN 300 674 Electromagnetic compatibility and Radio spectrum Issues (ERM); Standard Test for Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC) Transmission Equipment

The applicability of the current standard covers both roadside units (RSUs) and on-board units (OBUs) containing transceivers and transmitters.

This standard complies with ECC/DEC/(02)01 and CEPT/ERC/REC 70-03. It is a proprietary standard that covers various RTTT applications.

Additional standards or specifications may be required for equipment such as those designed for connection to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) or other systems.

For battery powered equipment, the battery must be removed and an external test power source appropriately disconnected. For radiated measurements, any external power cables shall be arranged so that they do not affect the measurements. If necessary, the external test power supply can be replaced with internal batteries supplied or recommended at the required voltage, or with a battery simulator.

This will be specified in the test report. Fully charged internal batteries will be used for measurements radiated on portable equipment. The batteries used will be as supplied or recommended by the applicant.
