ETSI EN 301 489-17 ElectroMagnetic Compatibility (EMC) for Radio Equipment and Services Part 17: Standard Test for Broadband Data Transmission Systems

This standard specifies the technical specifications and measurement methods for broadband data transmission system equipment, including related ancillary equipment in terms of electromagnetic compatibility.

Specifications regarding emissions from the antenna port and the enclosure port of the radio equipment are not included in this document. Such technical specifications are available in the relevant product standards for effective use of the radio spectrum.

Radio equipment can take forms that may require special software or test fixtures. Equipment that requires a connection to a host equipment for operation should use a test configuration that represents the intended use of the EUT and should be recorded in the test report.

Frequencies that are intended to operate on the transmitting part of the EUT should be excluded from radiated emission measurements when performed in transmit mode.

A frequency exclusion band should not be applied to emission measurements of the receiver part of transceivers or the stand-alone receiver under test and/or associated auxiliary equipment.
