IEC 61000-4-29 Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Part 4-29: Voltage Drops in DC Input Power Port Immunity Tests

This standard defines:

  • The range of test levels;
  • Test generator;
  • Test setup;
  • Test procedure.

Ripple on the DC input power port is not covered by this part of IEC 61000. It is covered by IEC 61000-4-17. This standard does not specify tests to be applied to particular apparatus or systems.

Its main purpose is to provide a general baseline reference to IEC product committees. These product committees (or equipment users and manufacturers) remain responsible for the appropriate selection and severity level of tests to be applied to their equipment.
