EN 301 908-4 IMT-2000 Base Stations (BS) and User Equipment (UE) for Third Generation Cellular Networks

The current standard applies to the following equipment types for IMT-FT. IMT-FT is a Digital Enhanced Wireless Telecommunications (DECT) system, a member of the ITU IMT-2000 family:

• Base Station (BS) (referred to as Fixed Part (FP) in the present document)
• User Equipment (UE) (hereinafter referred to as Portable Part (PP))
• Wireless Terminal Adapter (CTA) (specific type of UE)
• Repeater (called Wireless Relay Station (WRS) (FP and PP combined) in the present document)
• Hybrid Part (HyP) (a PP capable of acting as an FP to provide PP to PP communication)

The technical requirements of the present document apply within the scope of the environmental profile for the operation of the equipment in accordance with its intended use. The equipment shall at all times comply with all technical requirements of the current document while operating within the limits of the operational environmental profile defined by its intended use.

The applicability of individual test groups in the present document depends on the type of equipment. It is assumed that all equipment includes a radio receiver. The test suites described in the present document shall only be applied to equipment that physically contains the DECT RF receiver or transceiver. Control lines necessary for the operation of the EUT will be allowed.

The highest power level of any RF emissions outside the radio frequency band allocated to DECT when a transmission channel is allocated to a radio endpoint. If a Radio Endpoint has more than one transceiver, out-of-band transmitter intermodulation products will also be included.
