IEC EN 61000-4-19 Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) - Part 4-19: Test and Measurement Techniques - AC Power Ports - Immunity Test to Differential Mode Disturbances and Signaling

EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of IEC EN 61000-4-19 testing. IEC EN 61000-4-19 deals with immunity requirements and test methods for electrical and electronic equipment for differential mode disturbances and signaling transmitted in the range of 2 kHz to 150 kHz at AC power ports. The purpose of this standard is to establish a common and repeatable basis for testing electrical and electronic equipment by applying differential mode disturbances and signaling to ac power ports.

IEC EN 61000-4-19 Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) - Part 4-19: Test and Measurement Techniques - AC Power Ports - Immunity Test to Differential Mode Disturbances and Signaling

This standard defines:

  • Test waveforms;
  • Range of test levels;
  • Test equipment;
  • Test setup;
  • Test procedures;
  • Verification procedures.

These tests aim to demonstrate the immunity of electrical and electronic equipment operating at a mains supply voltage of up to 280 V (phase-to-neutral or phase-to-earth if neutral is not used) and a frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz.

Immunity to harmonics and interharmonics, including mains signal, on AC power ports up to 2 kHz in differential mode is covered by IEC 61000-4-13. Emissions in the frequency range 2 kHz to 150 kHz usually have both differential mode and common mode components. This standard provides immunity tests for differential mode disturbances and signaling only.

Differential mode disturbances and signaling transmitted in the 2 kHz to 150 kHz frequency range can affect the performance of equipment and systems installed in all electromagnetic environments. Therefore, in this frequency range, differential mode disturbances and signaling must be considered.

Combining these disturbances and signaling can be too strong for AC. are power ports but only relatively weak for all other ports, the requirements of this standard apply to AC.
