IEC EN 61000-4-31 Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) - Part 4-31: Test and Measurement Techniques - AC Mains Ports Broadband Conducted Distortion Immunity Test

EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of IEC EN 61000-4-31 testing. IEC EN 61000-4-31 deals with the conducted immunity of electrical and electronic equipment to electromagnetic disturbances from intended or undesired broadband signal sources in the frequency range 150 kHz to 80 MHz. It has a basic EMC publication status in accordance with IEC Guide 107.

IEC EN 61000-4-31 Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) - Part 4-31: Test and Measurement Techniques - AC Mains Ports Broadband Conducted Distortion Immunity Test

The purpose of this standard is to establish a common reference for evaluating the immunity of electrical and electronic equipment when subjected to transmitted disturbances caused by intended or undesired broadband signal sources at AC mains ports. The test method documented in this standard defines a consistent method for assessing the immunity of an equipment or system to a defined phenomenon.

Excludes equipment that does not have at least one AC mains connection point. Power ports not intended to be connected to AC mains distribution networks are not considered "AC mains" and are therefore excluded.

This standard is applicable only to single-phase equipment with a rated input current ≤ 16 A; Application of broadband distortion to multi-phase equipment or equipment with rated input current > 16 A is being considered.

The source of disturbance covered by this standard is basically an intended or unintended transmitted broadband disturbance superimposed on the AC mains port of the EUT on the trunk.

For example, signals produced by PLT systems are intentionally generated broadband disturbances, whereas other electrical and electronic equipment connected to the AC mains may emit unintentional broadband disturbances.
