IEC EN 61249-2-26 Materials for Printed Sheets and Other Interlocking Structures - Part 2-26: Halogen-Free Epoxide Non-Woven E-Glass Reinforced Laminated Sheets

EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of IEC EN 61249-2-26 testing. This part of IEC EN 61249 gives requirements for properties of copper-clad, non-halogenated epoxide non-woven/woven-reinforced E-glass laminated sheets with defined flammability (vertical burn test) in thicknesses from 0,80 mm to 1,60 mm.

IEC EN 61249-2-26 Materials for Printed Sheets and Other Interlocking Structures - Part 2-26: Halogen-Free Epoxide Non-Woven E-Glass Reinforced Laminated Sheets

The degree of flammability is achieved by using non-halogenated inorganic or organic compounds that act as flame retardants. These fire retardants exist as part of or in addition to the polymeric structure. The glass transition temperature is defined as a minimum of 95°C.

The uncoated side of the single-sided coated sheet will have the natural appearance resulting from the curing process. Minor irregularities in color are allowed. The gloss of the uncoated side will be the gloss imparted by the printing plate, release film or release foil used. Changes in gloss due to the influence of the pressure of the gases released during curing are allowed.

Laminate should be able to be stapled, cut or drilled in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. Delamination on the edges due to cutting is allowed provided the depth of delamination is not greater than the thickness of the base material. Delamination is not allowed on the edges of drilled holes due to the drilling process. Drilled holes must be able to be completely covered without interference from any leakage into the hole.

Referee control will be done at 10x magnification. The lighting conditions of the inspection shall be suitable for the material being inspected or as agreed between the user and the supplier.

The supplier must implement a quality plan to ensure product conforms to this standard. Such a quality plan should, where appropriate, use statistical methods rather than batch-by-batch review. It is the supplier's responsibility to determine the frequency of testing to ensure conformity of products, based on the quality plan.

Unless otherwise specified in the purchase order, laminated sheets shall be marked with the manufacturer's name, nominal thickness, copper plating and batch number. The marking will remain legible during normal use, but can be easily removed before the material is used.
