At OLUROLAB, we have been providing services for customers in the aviation and other related industries for many years under electromagnetic compatibility tests. With our fully equipped electromagnetic testing facilities and the combined expertise of our team, we are developing a comprehensive testing program to identify regulatory challenges and meet your challenges.
Of particular concern for avionics manufacturers, high-density radiating fields (HIRF) are any combination of electrical and magnetic interference strong enough to potentially affect the performance of a device close to it. HIRF is divided into three frequency bands, and each can affect aircraft electronics in different ways:
HIRF testing is a form of EMC testing that is applied to equipment exposed to extreme electromagnetic environments or critical mission equipment whose malfunctions can be dangerous to human safety. Concerns over the protection of these systems have increased in flight operations. Concern for the protection of electrical and electronic systems in aircraft has increased significantly in recent years for the following reasons:
OLUROLAB test laboratories are fully equipped to provide HIRF and other electromagnetic interference tests for today's most demanding customers. We are the country's largest independent laboratory and standards-compliant organization, with a long history of needs for military contractors, aerospace manufacturers, and more. We make sure that you meet the requirements of various specifications containing HIRF certification, for example:
HIRF certification generally involves measuring transfer functions to estimate the potential effects of electromagnetic interference (EMI) on an aircraft. In this we use a variety of tools and techniques to produce accurate tests that fully comply with all required specifications.
Our reverberation rooms and state-of-the-art amplifiers achieve more than DO-200 Category L levels from 18 MHz to 160GHz. Large available test volume chambers allow multiple LRU systems to be tested. With field densities that can reach peak areas of up to 15.000 V / m, these rooms can also be adapted to the driver and matched with a motor driver for rotating equipment.
