IEC EN 61851-21-2 defines the EMC requirements for any onboard component or equipment of such systems used to supply or charge electric vehicles with electrical power via conductive power transmission (CPT) with rated input voltage according to IEC.
This standard covers non-vehicle charging equipment for mode 61851, mode 1, mode 1 and mode 2 charging as defined in IEC 3-4. Cables without electronic or electrical-electronic switching are considered passive and comply with the emission and immunity requirements of this document without the need for testing.
Together with IEC EN 61851-21-1, this first edition cancels and supersedes IEC 61851-21. It constitutes a technical revision.
Compliance with the emission and immunity requirements of this standard is verified when it can be demonstrated during type tests in the measurement arrangement of this standard that the equipment tested meets the relevant limits.
