IEC EN 62379-3 Common Control Interface for Networked Digital Audio and Video Products - Part 3: Video

EUROLAB, together with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of IEC EN 62379-3 testing. IEC EN 62379-3 details the video-specific features of the common control interface specified in IEC EN 62379-1.

IEC EN 62379-3 Common Control Interface for Networked Digital Audio and Video Products - Part 3: Video

At any point in the video signal chain, the video data will be in a certain format. For management purposes, the format should be defined by an object identifier, either a "Common control interface standard" object identifier as defined in this standard, or an object identifier defined elsewhere.

The video source identifier will have four parameters. The first will be the frame rate, the second will be the video source type, the third will be the vertical resolution, and the fourth will be the scan type.

For management purposes, the transport format should be defined by an object identifier, either a "Common control interface standard" object identifier as defined in this standard, or an object identifier defined elsewhere.

For management purposes, a video equipment should be modeled as a set of discrete video blocks and video connectors as specified in IEC EN 62379-1. Each video block can have zero or more inputs and zero or more outputs, and each input or output can carry one or more channels. Each video connector will connect a video block output to a video block input with one-to-one channel mapping between blocks.

Each video block must be modeled with one of the standard video block types defined in this standard or with a video block type defined elsewhere. Associated with each defined block type will be a (possibly empty) set of managed object types that represent control functions for that block. A block type must be defined by the node in the object descriptor tree that is the root node for the group of managed object types associated with that block type.
