ETSI EN 302 208 Radio Frequency Identification Equipment, Harmonized Standard for accessing the Radio spectrum

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of ETSI EN 302 208 standard. This standard covers the minimum specifications required to make the most of the available frequencies. It need not contain all the features that may be required by a user or represent the optimum performance achievable.

The current standard applies to RFID interrogators and tags working together as a system. For each band specified, four high-power channels are provided for use by interrogators. Tags respond with a modulated signal, preferably on adjacent low power channels. Interrogators can be used with either integrated or external antennas.

Tested equipment will be designed, constructed and manufactured in accordance with good engineering practice and to minimize harmful interference to other equipment and services.

Where applicable, any equipment submitted for testing shall meet the requirements of this standard at all frequencies it is intended to operate on.

Where a manufacturer has declared more than one operating frequency or the highest and lowest operating frequencies and channel spacing, the difference between the values ​​of two adjacent operating frequencies may not be less than the declared value of the channel spacing.
