EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of MIL STD 461G standard. The MIL STD 461G standard provides requirements for the control of electromagnetic interference (EMI) emissions and susceptibility characteristics of electronic, electrical, and electromechanical equipment and subsystems designed or supplied for use by Department of Defense activities and agencies.
This standard is best suited for benchtop or pedestal equipment with a power input current draw of less than 200 amps. It is not commonly applied to items such as components and independent modules contained in electronic enclosures, or to all platforms such as aircraft or submarines.
However, the principles used here can be useful as a basis for developing appropriate requirements for any application. NTS carried out tests in the home laboratory on equipment up to 10 meters in length exceeding 22 feet. In addition, EUROLAB routinely performs on-site testing (on-site) for equipment that is too large or complex to carry.
MIL-STD-461 has been an active document since 1967 and has undergone many major revisions over the years. These changes are largely based on observed changes in electronic use and advances in technology in a platform's Electromagnetic Environment (EME). Interestingly, legacy programs and strengthening activities can still refer to previous versions of this document to ensure that there has been no impact since the original compliance report.
MIL STD 461G Revision Requirements
EUROLAB is considered an expert in MIL STD 461 testing and can test with full knowledge of all revisions of this standard (MIL-STD-461 A - G). The most common requirements from E & F revisions are shown below, MIL STD 461G version was released in December 2015.
MIL STD 461G Engineering Services
EUROLAB offers EMI / EMC engineering services in a number of on-site:
The EMI Test procedure (EMITP) is one of the most important elements of a MIL-STD-461 qualification program. Test procedure control requirements are defined under DI-EMCS-80201C. It aimed to organize the test methodologies used, define test limits and levels, and explain how the tested equipment (EUT) will be operated, guided, and electrically grounded during each test.
EUROLAB also provides MIL STD 461G testing services within the scope of other military testing services. Thanks to these services, businesses receive more effective, high-performance and quality testing services and provide safe, fast and uninterrupted service to their customers. Do not forget to contact EUROLAB for testing and certification services.
