ISO 13766-1 Earthmoving and Construction Machinery, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Test Standard of Machines with Internal Electrical Power Supply

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of ISO 13766-1 standard. ISO 13766-1 provides test methods and acceptance criteria for the evaluation of the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of earthmoving machinery defined in ISO 6165 and the following building construction machinery defined in ISO/TR 12603.

ISO 13766-1 deals with general EMC requirements under typical electromagnetic environmental conditions. (ISO 13766‑2 deals specifically with EMC requirements regarding functional safety).

Electrical-electronic subassemblies (ESAs) and separate ESAs intended to be installed on machines are also discussed.

The following electromagnetic disturbance events are evaluated:

• Wideband and narrowband electromagnetic interference;
• Electromagnetic field immunity;
• Electrostatic discharge;
• Executed transients.

The machine can have DC or AC or a combination of both as its internal electrical power supply system.

ISO 13766-1 is not applicable to machinery designed to be powered from an external mains or to incidents caused by military applications.
