EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of ISO 13766-2 standard. ISO 13766-2 provides test methods and acceptance criteria for the evaluation of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of earthmoving machinery defined in ISO 6165 and the following building construction machinery classified in ISO/TR 12603.
ISO 13766-2 deals with EMC requirements regarding the functional safety of machines, electrical/electronic subassemblies (ESA) and separate ESA.
ISO 13766-2 concerns only safety-related parts of control systems (SRP/CS), as defined in ISO 13849‑1 using electrical-electronic components that meet design requirements equal to or greater than safety-related performance.
Level PL b as defined in ISO 13849‑1 also deals with electrical and electronic components or separate ESA intended to be installed in machinery under the restriction PL b.
The following electromagnetic disturbance events are evaluated:
The machine can have DC or AC or a combination of both as its internal electrical power supply system. ISO 13766-2 is not applicable to machinery designed to be powered from an external mains or to incidents caused by military applications.
