JS 001 Common JEDEC-ESDA Standard for Electrostatic Discharge Sensitivity Testing

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of JS 001 standard. This standard specifies the procedure for testing, evaluating and classifying components and microcircuits according to their susceptibility to damage or degradation by exposure to a defined human body model (HBM) electrostatic discharge (ESD).

JS 001 Common JEDEC-ESDA Standard for Electrostatic Discharge Sensitivity Testing

The purpose of this standard is to establish a test method that will replicate HBM failures and provide reliable, repeatable HBM ESD test results from tester to tester, regardless of component type.

Reproducible data allow accurate classification and comparison of HBM ESD sensitivity levels.

All equipment used to evaluate the tester should be calibrated according to the manufacturer's recommendation. This includes the oscilloscope, current converter and high-voltage resistive load. The maximum time between calibrations will be one year.

Calibration shall be traceable to national standards such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the United States or to comparable international standards.
