ISO 12312-3 Eye and Face Protection Part 3: Sunglasses Testing for Running Cycling and Similar Active Lifestyles

The standard specifies additional material, design, performance and marking requirements. Other applicable requirements are given in ISO 12312-1. This standard does not apply to:

• Glasses for protection against radiation from artificial light sources, such as those used in a solarium;

• Medically prescribed sunglasses to reduce solar radiation;
• Products for direct observing the sun, such as tracking a partial or circular solar eclipse to which ISO 12312-2 applies;
• Products for occupational eye protection.

The manufacturer will provide information to the wearer with each pair of sunglasses. This information may include markings or labels on the frame, packaging, etc. that accompany the sunglasses at the point of sale. will be in the form of separate information.
