The EN 2997-014 standard defines the design, performance and testing requirements for these connectors, including their material, dimensions and environmental resistance. The connectors covered by this standard are suitable for use at operating temperatures between -65°C and 175°C.
The test involves inserting the circular connector into an integral socket with a square flange and subjecting it to a range of environmental and mechanical stresses.
