Atomic Absorption Tests

Atomic absorption spectroscopy provides a quantitative breakdown of individual elements in a sample. By evaporating a prepared sample and exposing the vapors to light, our specialists can help you determine the concentration of a single element in a material.

Atomic Absorption Tests

While dozens of elements can be analyzed using this method, only one element can be measured during each atomic absorption or graphite furnace atomic absorption (GFAA) spectroscopy test. Therefore, many other chemical analysis methods can often be more timely and cost-effective.

However, graphite furnace atomic absorption spectroscopy allows extremely low detection of trace elements in an organic or inorganic sample. Solids can be analyzed by chemical digestion before testing.

Our atomic absorption capacities

ÊUROLAB's accredited laboratories perform tests according to various ASTM and environmental standards and internal procedures. We offer both flame and graphite furnace atomic absorption spectroscopy depending on the required material type and detection limit. In addition, we can test mercury in aqueous solutions using cold vapor atomic absorption.
