EN ISO 10304-1 Water Quality - Determination of Dissolved Anions by Liquid Chromatography of Ions - Part 1: Determination of Bromide, Chloride, Fluoride, Nitrate, Nitrite, Phosphate and Sulphate

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN ISO 10304-1 standard. This part of ISO 10304 provides a method for the determination by liquid chromatography of dissolved bromide, chloride, fluoride, ions, nitrate, nitrite, orthophosphate and sulfate in water such as drinking water, groundwater, surface water, wastewater, leachate and seawater. specifies.

EN ISO 10304-1 Su Kalitesi - İyonların Sıvı Kromatografisi ile Çözünmüş Anyonların Tayini - Bölüm 1: Bromür, Klorür, Florür, Nitrat, Nitrit, Fosfat ve Sülfat Tayini

The lower application limit is W 0,05 mg/l for bromide and nitrite and W 0,1 mg/l for chloride, fluoride, nitrate, orthophosphate and sulfate. The lower bound of implementation depends on the matrix and the interactions encountered.

If a suitable pre-treatment of the sample (eg conditions for trace analysis, pre-concentration technique) is applied or an ultraviolet (eg UV) detector (for bromide, nitrate and nitrite) is used.

If necessary, the sample is pretreated to remove solids, sulfides and metal ions. Relevant anions (bromide, chloride, fluoride, nitrate, nitrite, orthophosphate and sulfate), an anion exchange resin as stationary phase, and isocratic or gradient elution (eg carbonate, hydrogencarbonate, hydroxide eluent). Detection is performed using a conductivity detector (CD).

When using CDs it is essential that the eluents have sufficiently low conductivity. Therefore, CDs are often combined with a suppressor device (cation exchanger) which will reduce the conductivity of the eluent and convert the sample species to their corresponding acids.
