The packaging shall be designed in such a way that it can be transported easily and safely according to its mass, volume and shape. In addition, the packaging shall be designed so that it can be properly secured in or on the vehicle during carriage.
The design shall be such that any lifting attachments on the package do not deteriorate when used as intended and, in the event of failure of the attachments, impair the ability of the package to meet the other requirements of this regulation. The design should consider appropriate safety factors to cover breakout removal.
