Aging conditions can be applied to bonded assemblies and used to generate a series of tests for evaluating an adhesive.
Results obtained using the procedures described in this international standard are not necessarily valid for determining the service life of a connected assembly because there is no direct correlation between test results and the behavior of a connected assembly over a period of time in service. However, for certain particular applications, experience with the procedures may allow a correlation to be established.
