LECO Test and Analysis

LECO analysis is a reliable method for determining the concentration of elements in a metallic sample, including Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Oxygen and Sulfur. Our trusted experts help manufacturers better understand the properties of their materials.

LECO Test and Analysis

Major inconsistencies in metalworking can lead to excessive changes in material composition and properties. Due to its accuracy and low detection limits, LECO analysis is often used as a process verification tool to ensure that the appropriate level of these elements is present in metallic samples after various manufacturing steps.

LECO analysis uses infrared absorption and thermal conductivity to measure combustion gases in a metallic sample. This process determines the presence and concentration of carbon, sulfur, oxygen, nitrogen or hydrogen. LECO analysis converts elements from their sample into their oxidized form using the gas fusion method (Hydrogen, Nitrogen and Oxygen) or the combustion method (Carbon and Sulfur).

We perform routine LECO analysis in our high capacity chemical analysis laboratories according to many popular ASTM and NADCAP specifications. If your needs fall outside typical industry standards, our participating experts can work with you to develop a personalized approach to reach your ultimate goals.
