Developed by the International Standards Organization (ISO), the ISO / TR 11610 standard has been published to explain the expressions and recipes commonly used in the standardization of protective clothing. This standard has been published in our country by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) with the following title: TSE CEN ISO / TR 11610 They will wear protective clothing - Glossary.
This standard includes phrases, definitions and descriptions that are frequently used in the standardization of protective equipment and life vests worn on the body, including protective clothing and hand and arm protectors. All statements contained in this standard are supplemented with descriptions where necessary to ensure precise and clear use.
ISO / TR 11610 standard has been prepared by CEN / TC 162 technical committee “Protective clothing including hand and arm protection and life vest”. In this study, cooperation was made with the technical committee of ISO / TC 94 “Personal safety - Protective clothing and equipment”.
Therefore, the definitions in this standard are based on the standards prepared by CEN / TC 162. The statements and definitions contained in this technical report are not only related to protective clothing, but also to protective gloves and life jackets covered by CEN / TC 162.
This standard has been developed in accordance with the Vienna Agreement and takes into account the terms and definitions of the relevant ISO technical committee for protective clothing. In addition, statements in the ISO / IEC guideline and statements applied in American standards are included in this standard. The aim is to create a complete and consistent language union.
The subject of the definitions from the standards has not been changed. However, because there are some inconsistencies in the expression of the definitions and several definitions are given to some terms, some statements are simplified or modified or harmonized. Definitions are intended to support the explicit use of the listed phrases.
