EN 14225-1 Wetsuits, Part 1: Wetsuits, Requirements and Test Methods

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 14225-1 standard. This European standard specifies the construction and performance requirements for diving suits (including thermal) worn by divers for underwater activities in which the wearer breathes underwater.

Marking, labeling, information intended to be provided at the point of sale and instructions for use are also specified.

Short-sleeved jackets, cropped trousers, underwear and outerwear, and separate accessories such as gloves, hoods and boots are not covered by this document.

Dresses and shorts for snorkeling, including underwater activities, are not covered by this standard.

This wet diving suit document has been prepared to meet the needs of people engaged in underwater activities where the wearer breathes underwater, where the water temperature and exposure time can meet the person's thermal needs using a wetsuit.

Compliance with this document does not mean that a wetsuit is suitable for all conditions, and the document does not provide detailed provisions for all specific uses for which wetsuits may be used.
