EN 13277-1 Martial Protective Equipment - Part 1: General Requirements and Test Methods

The protectors covered by this European standard are primarily designed for use in unarmed martial arts such as taekwondo, karate, kick-boxing and similar disciplines.

Additional requirements and test methods for the components of preservatives for certain types of martial arts are specified in other parts of this European standard.

Protective equipment for martial arts (hereinafter referred to as protectors) protects the wearer from crush, abrasion, tear, breakage and physical injury.
