Each color has a hue value, and whatever degree of darkness a color represents in the spectrum of tonal degrees, that is its hue value. This tone value is called chroma, and the tone value they get as they lighten and darken is called the value. Color can be divided into many tonal values, from black to white.
The colors with the highest chroma value are pure colors. The juxtaposition of colors of different intensities is called the chroma difference. The most intense contrast occurs in contrasting colors with the highest chroma.
