DIN 18252 Profile Cylinders for Door Locks - Test Methods for Terminology, Dimensions, Requirements

This standard covers locking cylinders designed as profile cylinders for locks designed for use in indoor and building doors. Normally, no lock side force acts on the cam of a mechanical locking cylinder when the key is removed.

It also applies to locking cylinders designed as profile cylinders, used with other products such as escape door locks, power doors, monitoring devices and alarm systems.

It also applies to locking cylinders designed as profile half cylinders used for key switches, garage doors, window handles or other applications, provided they are permanently attached to buildings.
Round and oval cylinders are not the subject of this standard.

Additional requirements may need to be met if profile cylinders are used on building doors with products other than locks.

The part in the lock of the door where the key is placed is called the door cylinder. The most important part of a door lock is the door cylinder, also called a cylinder. The door roller, which is also called the door core, is a material that should be carefully selected for the safety of the house. The better your choice of door lock barrel, the higher your security will be.

They are products that are resistant to puncture, breakage, shaking and picking. These products have a security card for key duplication or renewal.
