EN 10169 Continuous Organic Coated (Roll Coated) Steel Flat Products - Technical Delivery Conditions

This European standard specifies requirements for continuous organic coated (coil coated) steel flat products. Specifically, it specifies performance requirements.

Products covered are wide strip, wide strip cut sheet, wide slit strip, rolled strip less than 600 mm wide, and cut lengths (from sheet or strip).

This standard does not apply to continuous organic coated flat products made from:

• Tinned products;
• Electrical steels.

For internal structural members, it is also important to consider the risk of corrosive attack on the back of the member. This can be particularly important in double wall assemblies (eg built-in insulated cladding) where the rear of the inner member is not easily accessible for maintenance and/or where the inner member is expected to provide long-term durability.

The type of coating on both sides of the product will be agreed upon and at the time of order to meet the buyer's requirements for product flexibility, the corrosion protection/corrosion resistance category of the top and back sides, and UV rays as needed.
