EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN ISO 5402 standard. This standard specifies a method for determining the wet or dry flexing resistance of leather and finishes applied to leather.
It can be applied to any flexible leather with a thickness of less than 3,0 mm.
A test piece is folded with the surface to be tested facing inward and clamped in an upper movable clamp, and in a lower fixed clamp fold the test piece to progress along the movement of the surface to be tested and the upper clamp. The test piece is inspected periodically for damage.
If there is a requirement to test more than two hides or skins in a batch, then only one test is required. Pieces of each skin or skin should be taken in all directions, provided the total sum is not less.
