EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 12365-4 standard. This part 12365 of EN 4 specifies the method to be used to select, condition and test standard extruded samples of typical raw materials to determine the percentage of long-term recovery after deflection within the operating deviation range under specified conditions. The test is designed to cover all possible raw materials.
The compression block should consist of a support for two standard extrusion test pieces that will allow compression of the specimen to a constant height of 60% of its original free height, i.e. equal to 9 mm ± 0,1 mm for the standard.
An electrically heated oven conforming to ISO 188, method A requirements is required for testing. It shall be capable of being set and maintained at the maximum operating temperature of any material to be tested.
Wherever possible, the time between shaping and testing should not exceed 3 months. Every care should be taken to ensure that samples arrive in the test chamber in an intact and fully testable condition.
Test pieces with a minimum length of 100 mm and a maximum length of 500 mm will be cut from various positions within the sample sent for testing. Care should be taken to ensure that the test pieces have a good smooth surface and are free from defects or other defects.
In this method, test pieces are subjected to the same maximum operating temperature as in service to simulate accelerated aging. Two or more test pieces will be used in each experiment.
