This standard describes a method for determining the abrasion resistance of an unfilled synthetic turf surface using an abrasive wheel under laboratory conditions. Applies to unfilled synthetic turf with a pile height of more than 15 mm.
A test piece is slip-abraded by the resulting action of a double abrasive wheel in an EN 13672 on a rotating test piece.
Condition test pieces at test temperature for at least 3 hours. If the material is known to be sensitive to moisture, condition for a minimum of 48 hours at standard temperature and relative humidity.
Unless otherwise stated, the standard temperature will be (23 ± 2)°C and the standard relative humidity will be (50 ± 5) %.
